The A8.
The Audi A8 is Audi's full-size flagship sedan, sold in the US only in long-wheelbase A8 L form. Despite widespread reports in 2025 that Audi would drop the A8 from its US lineup after ending orders in Europe, Audi has confirmed the car remains on sale in the US for 2027 with no end date set, carrying over its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assist, rated at 335 hp and 369 lb-ft, an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic and standard quattro all-wheel drive.
The A8 L is sold as a single 55 TFSI trim built around option packages; the Executive Plus package adds dynamic all-wheel steering, a head-up display and HD Matrix LED headlights, and the car comes standard with adaptive air suspension and 22-way multi-contour heated and ventilated front seats.
It suits buyers who want a large, understated chauffeur-grade sedan, though Audi has not said what, if anything, replaces it after this generation.
