The 720S.
The 720S Spider is the open version of the car that defined McLaren's Super Series for half a decade. Its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 710 hp, and a carbon fiber structure keeps weight low enough that it gives very little away to the coupe.
A retractable hard top stows behind the cabin, and the hydraulically linked suspension delivers a ride that is notably supple for a car of this pace. The 2023 model year was the last before the 750S took over.
It suits drivers who want a benchmark McLaren with open-air character, and who value a proven, well-understood platform.
