The AMG CLA 45.
The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Coupe is being sold through model year 2026 as the final gas-engine version of the nameplate in the US. The redesigned CLA for 2026 moves to a new platform that is primarily electric, and Mercedes has confirmed that the new tri-motor AMG CLA 45 EV revealed in mid-2026 will not be sold in the US; the outgoing CLA 45 S is being sent off with a limited Final Edition. It uses a handcrafted 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (AMG's M139 engine) making 416 hp and 369 lb-ft through an 8-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
Mercedes quotes 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, and the EPA rates it at 20 mpg city and 28 highway.
It suits buyers who want a compact AMG sedan with a traditional gas engine before the nameplate goes electric-only in the US.
