The AMG GT 4-Door EV.
The electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door is the production successor to the V8 GT 4-Door Coupe, officially revealed in May 2026 as the first AMG model built on AMG.EA, the brand's own dedicated 800-volt electric platform. It replaces the old car's V8 entirely with a tri-motor layout, one motor up front and two at the rear, drawing from a 106 kWh battery, and is sold in three trims: GT53, GT55 and GT63.
The range-topping GT63 produces 1,153 hp (1,169 PS) and 1,475 lb-ft, with a continuous output of 721 hp sustainable for up to 63 seconds without derating; Mercedes-AMG quotes 0-60 mph in roughly 2.1 seconds and an electronically limited 186 mph top speed. The GT55 makes 805 hp and 1,328 lb-ft, while the entry GT53 makes 536 hp. AMG claims up to 432 miles of WLTP-cycle range and 600 kW DC fast charging capable of adding about 286 miles in roughly 10 minutes; no EPA range figure has been published yet.
Production begins in July 2026 in Sindelfingen, Germany, with US arrival planned for later in the 2027 model year. As of October 2026, Mercedes-AMG has not announced US pricing. It suits buyers tracking AMG's first dedicated electric flagship, though it is not yet a car that can be configured or ordered in the US.
