The CLA.
The CLA enters an all-new generation for 2027, moving to a dedicated small-car platform shared with electric and hybrid Mercedes models. The base CLA 220 Hybrid uses a 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 with 48-volt hybrid assist, rated at 188 hp and 221 lb-ft, driving the front wheels through an 8-speed automatic.
Alongside it, Mercedes sells a pair of electric CLA sedans: the CLA 250+ Electric, a 268-hp rear-drive model rated at up to 374 miles of EPA-estimated range, and the CLA 350 4MATIC Electric, a 349-hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive model rated at up to 312 miles of range. All three share a cabin built around Mercedes' fourth-generation MBUX system with built-in Microsoft and Google AI.
It suits shoppers cross-shopping a compact luxury sedan who want the choice of a conventional hybrid or a genuinely long-range EV from the same showroom.
