The E-Class.
The E-Class is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size luxury sedan, and the 2027 model year is the newest version on sale in the US. The base E 350 and E 350 4MATIC use a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assist, producing 255 hp and 295 lb-ft through a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive standard and 4MATIC all-wheel drive available.
The E 450 4MATIC steps up to a 375-hp turbocharged inline-6, and the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid tops the sedan range as a plug-in hybrid rated at 577 hp combined, with up to 43 miles of EPA-estimated all-electric range. All E-Class sedans get a touchscreen-based MBUX interior, with the option of Mercedes' Superscreen dash with a front-passenger display.
It suits buyers who want more rear-seat space and a plusher ride than the C-Class, with a plug-in-hybrid AMG flagship for those who also want serious performance.
