The EQS SUV is Mercedes-Benz's full-size electric SUV, built at the company's Alabama plant on the dedicated EVA2 electric architecture. For the 2027 model year every EQS SUV comes standard with 4MATIC all-wheel drive; the EQS 400 4MATIC uses dual electric motors making 355 hp and 590 lb-ft, backed by a 118 kWh battery that the EPA rates at 312 miles of range.
The EQS 550 4MATIC steps up to 536 hp, 633 lb-ft and an EPA rating of 317 miles, and a Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 version tops the lineup. A NACS DC fast-charging port is now standard, supporting roughly 31 minutes for a 10-80% charge, and the cabin is built around the MBUX Hyperscreen, a 12.3-inch driver display, 17.7-inch center touchscreen and 12.3-inch passenger display under one piece of glass. Five seats are standard, with an optional third-row package for additional occupants.
It suits buyers who want a three-row-capable, full-size luxury SUV without a combustion engine.
