The Maybach SL 680.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is the first Maybach-branded SL, a two-seat convertible built on the current AMG SL's platform rather than a strictly numbered limited edition — it is simply the single Maybach SL trim offered in the U.S. for the 2027 model year. It shares its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with the AMG SL 63, here rated at 577 hp and 590 lb-ft, through a nine-speed automatic and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, with Mercedes quoting 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
The rear seats are removed in favor of a leather-lined parcel shelf, and the car is tuned for comfort over outright pace, with softer suspension settings, extra sound insulation and a 'floaty Maybach mode.' Styling cues include an illuminated Maybach grille with pinstripe-inspired slats, rose-gold headlight accents, two-tone paint options, chrome brightwork and a Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound system with 17 speakers and a 1,220-watt amplifier.
It suits buyers who want an SL convertible tuned for comfort and presence rather than track pace.
