The BMW 2 Series Coupe is a compact rear-wheel-drive luxury coupe from the G42 generation. As of October 2026, BMW USA lists the 230i as a 2026 model, using a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 255 hp and 295 lb-ft with an eight-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive and a BMW-quoted 0-60 mph time of 5.5 seconds.
The lineup runs from the 230i and 230i xDrive to the M240i and M240i xDrive, which have moved to the 2027 model year with a 3.0-liter inline-six with 48V mild-hybrid assistance rated at 386 hp. The coupe seats four, offers 13.8 cu ft of trunk space with folding rear seatbacks, and is assembled at BMW's San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico. The M2 sits above it as a separate model.
