The 3 Series G20.
The 2026 BMW 3 Series is the final US model year of the seventh-generation G20 sedan, which is being replaced by the all-new G50 3 Series for 2027. The 330i uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 255 hp and 295 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic and rear-wheel drive, with BMW quoting 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds.
The lineup has four models: the 330i, 330i xDrive, M340i and M340i xDrive, the M340i using a 3.0-liter inline-six with 48V mild-hybrid technology rated at 386 hp. The 330e plug-in hybrid is no longer sold in the US; its last model year was 2024. Trunk space is 17.0 cu ft, and the 330i is EPA-rated at 28 city / 35 hwy mpg.
It suits buyers who want a proven compact sports sedan with a choice of four- or six-cylinder power before the new generation arrives.
