The 2027 BMW 4 Series is a midsize luxury lineup offered as a two-door Coupe, a soft-top Convertible and a four-door Gran Coupe liftback; the figures here are for the 430i Gran Coupe. It uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 48V mild-hybrid technology rated at 255 hp and 295 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic and rear-wheel drive, with BMW quoting 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
Every body style comes as a 430i or a 386-hp M440i with a 3.0-liter inline-six, each with rear-wheel drive or xDrive. The Gran Coupe seats five with 16.6 cu ft of cargo space and is built in Munich, while the Coupe and Convertible seat four with 15.5 and 13.6 cu ft of trunk space; the Convertible's fabric top opens in about 10 seconds at up to 30 mph. The 2027 model carries over largely unchanged from 2026.
