The 7 Series.
The 2027 BMW 7 Series is the updated version of BMW's flagship full-size sedan, revised in 2026 with a new front and rear design, the BMW Panoramic iDrive cabin and BMW Operating System X. The 740 and 740 xDrive use a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, making 394 hp and 398 lb-ft through an eight-speed Steptronic automatic.
BMW quotes 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds for the 740 xDrive and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, and the EPA rates both versions at 24 mpg city and 30 highway. Adaptive two-axle air suspension, a 14.6-inch front Passenger Screen and a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system are standard; the 31.3-inch 8K BMW Theatre Screen, Executive Lounge rear seating and automatic doors are available. A 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid joins the range in early 2027, alongside the all-electric i7.
It suits buyers who want a chauffeur-grade rear cabin in a sedan that is just as comfortable to drive yourself.
