The 8 Series.
The 2026 BMW 8 Series is the final US model year of the G14/G15/G16 grand touring lineup, offered as a Coupe, Convertible and four-door Gran Coupe; the figures here are for the 840i Coupe. It uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six rated at 335 hp and 369 lb-ft, paired with an eight-speed Sport automatic and rear-wheel drive, with BMW quoting 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
Each body style was sold as an 840i, 840i xDrive or 523-hp M850i xDrive with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, plus a limited M850i Edition M Heritage Gran Coupe at $130,400. BMW ended M8 production in 2025 and said US-market 8 Series production would run until April 2026, with no direct successor planned; no 2027 8 Series appears in BMW USA's lineup or on fueleconomy.gov as of October 2026.
