The i4.
The 2026 BMW i4 is an electric four-door Gran Coupe with a rear liftback, built on the same platform as the 4 Series Gran Coupe. The base i4 eDrive40 uses a single rear motor rated at 335 hp and 317 lb-ft, and for 2026 new silicon-carbide inverters raise its EPA-estimated range to 333 miles on 18-inch wheels.
The US lineup has three models: the rear-drive eDrive40, the dual-motor xDrive40 and the i4 M60 xDrive, which replaces the M50 with up to 593 hp in Sport mode and a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds. The liftback opens to 16.6 cu ft of cargo space, or 45.6 cu ft with the rear seats folded, and a Seal & Drive tire kit is now standard.
It suits drivers who want a sporty electric BMW sedan with a practical hatch and more than 300 miles of range in its base form.
