The M2.
The 2027 BMW M2 is the compact high-performance coupe from BMW M, built on the G87 generation. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six makes 473 hp, with 406 lb-ft of torque when paired with the standard six-speed manual or 443 lb-ft with the optional eight-speed M Steptronic automatic, and the base car drives the rear wheels.
The big news for 2027 is the first all-wheel-drive M2, the M2 with M xDrive, which comes only with the automatic and is quoted by BMW at 3.6 seconds to 60 mph. The rear-drive M2 is rated at 4.1 seconds with the manual and 3.9 seconds with the automatic, and every version has a 155-mph limited top speed, or 177 mph with the M Driver's Package.
It suits drivers who want a small, four-seat M car with a manual gearbox or, new for 2027, all-wheel-drive traction.
