The M3.
The 2027 BMW M3 is BMW M's high-performance sport sedan and the final model year of the G80 generation, returning essentially unchanged before an all-new M3 arrives. The base M3 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six rated at 473 hp and 406 lb-ft, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual.
The M3 Competition switches to an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic and 503 hp, and the M3 Competition xDrive adds all-wheel drive and 523 hp, cutting BMW's 0-60 mph estimate to 3.4 seconds. New for 2027 is the M3 CS Handschalter, a limited, North America-only send-off with the manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and carbon-fiber body parts.
It suits drivers who want a five-seat sedan with M performance and the choice of a manual, rear-wheel-drive car or an all-wheel-drive automatic.
