The X1.
The 2027 BMW X1 is BMW's entry-level luxury SUV from the third-generation X1 introduced for the 2023 model year, and it carries over essentially unchanged for 2027 ahead of an expected refresh. The X1 xDrive28i uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 241 hp and 295 lb-ft, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and standard xDrive all-wheel drive.
The lineup has two models: the X1 xDrive28i and the X1 M35i, which tunes the same engine to 312 hp and adds Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport brakes and an M Sport exhaust with quad tips. Cargo space is 25.7 cu ft behind the rear seats and 57.2 cu ft with them folded, and the X1 is assembled at BMW's Regensburg plant in Germany.
It suits buyers who want a practical, upright compact luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and BMW's latest cabin technology at the brand's lowest SUV price.
