The Z4.
The 2026 BMW Z4 is a two-seat roadster with a power-operated soft top, and 2026 is its final model year: BMW announced the end of Z4 production, with the last US cars, the M40i Final Edition, built between February and April 2026, and the Z4 no longer appears in BMW USA's current lineup. The Z4 sDrive30i uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 255 hp and 295 lb-ft, with an eight-speed Sport automatic and rear-wheel drive.
The 2026 lineup has the Z4 sDrive30i, the Z4 M40i with a 382-hp 3.0-liter inline-six and an available six-speed manual via the Handschalter package, and the fixed-specification M40i Final Edition in Frozen Black with a red-stitched Vernasca and Alcantara interior. Trunk space is 9.9 cu ft with the top up or down, and the Z4 is assembled by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
It suits drivers who want a classic rear-drive roadster for open-air driving and can find one of the last new examples still in dealer stock.
